General Terms of Carriage

1. Flying time is calculated on engine running time (from engine ‘On’ to engine ‘Off’)

2. Time is charged to the nearest five (5) minutes flying time

3. Rates subject to change without notice

4. Free Waiting Time and Excess Waiting Time Charge
Aircraft is deemed chartered from scheduled time of departure (ETD) till aircraft is returned to base. Waiting time includes time between ETD and actual time of departure from base. Free waiting time is available up to 50% of flight time or first thirty (30) minutes whichever is greater. Excess waiting time is chargeable at 25% of the respective ad hoc charter rate.

5. Cancellation Charge
A cancellation within 24 hours of a firm booking is subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one hour’s flying time unless the cancellation is due to unavoidable circumstances such as weather or is subject to prior arrangement.

6. Fuel Surcharges may apply
Fuel surcharge will be chargeable accordingly and is subject to change. The rate may fluctuate from month to month.

7. Overnight Stops
A charge of RM400.00 per crew member per night is made to cover accommodation and meals for the crew.

8. Fuel Drum Charges
Where a charter involves positioning and use of drum fuel at certain locations to support the charter flights, the cost of drums and drums transportation will be charged.

9. Special Services
Specialized services are quoted upon request.

10. Availability
Aircraft are available seven (7) days a week and bookings can be accepted at short notice.

11. Credit Facilities
Credit facilities can be arranged. Sabah Air Aviation Sdn. Bhd. is also an approved establishment for American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

12. Flight Time
All flight times are approximate due to weather, wind and safety consideration while en route. Routes may be modified at the the pilot’s discretion if conditions so warrant. Estimated flight duration includes take off and landing times.

13. Rates
Rates quoted are inclusive of pilot and fuel.

14. Departures
All flights originate from and return to Sabah Air bases. However, other suitable departure/landing points can be arranged on request.

15. Briefing
Prior to boarding aircraft, each group of passengers is given a safety briefing and an outline of the route. Each aircraft departure/landing is supervised by our staff to ensure safety at all times.

16. Disclaimer
Sabah air reserves the right to cancel any flights due to weather conditions or any other reason, or to substitute aircraft. Although all care is taken , Sabah Air will not accept responsibility for damages resulting from the failure to depart/arrive in time, nor for the errors herein, nor for failure to make connections.
